THOUSAND ISLAND SAUCE

Thousand Island sauce is an American sauce that got its name from a place called "Thousand Island" on the border between Canada and the United States in the St. Lawrence River, and apparently this sauce was first made in this area and then distributed throughout the United States.
Based on the first thousand island sauce recipe published in 1900 in a cookbook in New Orleans.
This sauce is included in the category of cold sauces and is used to flavor all kinds of salads, and it is considered as a seasoning for sandwiches and cold foods.
